Use this guide to integrate your e-commerce platform with TikTok Shop European marketplaces through M2E Multichannel Connect.
Before you begin #
To set up the integration, make sure you have:
- Active online store on one of the supported e-commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, PrestaShop, etc.)
- TikTok Shop seller account registered for a European market.

Install M2E Multichannel Connect #
Install the M2E Multichannel Connect app from your platform's app store. You can find the download link for your specific platform on the M2E Official App Listings page.
Once the installation is complete, open the app from your store's admin panel.
Connect the TikTok Shop account #
Link your TikTok Shop seller account to start managing listings and orders through M2E.
Steps:
- In the M2E app, go to Dashboard and click Connect Marketplace Account.
- Select TikTok Shop from the list of available marketplaces.
- Choose Europe as the region and click Connect.
- You will be redirected to the TikTok Shop Seller Center. Log in with your TikTok credentials if prompted, and authorize the connection.
- After authorization, you will return to the M2E app. Your TikTok Shop account is now linked.
To connect additional accounts:
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then go to Account Settings > My Connected Accounts. Click Connect New Account and repeat the steps above.
Create and publish listings on TikTok Shop #
Navigate to the Listings page and click List on TikTok in the top-right corner of the grid. Select the TikTok Shop marketplace where you want to list your products.
Set up listing policies #
Configure the M2E Policies, which are reusable templates that control how your products appear and stay updated on TikTok Shop.
- Selling Policy – Specify the price and quantity settings for your TikTok Shop listings, along with other details like package dimensions and listing type.
- Synchronization Policy – Define how the app keeps your store and TikTok Shop listings in sync. It determines what happens when you update price, stock, or other product details in your store.
- Description Policy – Set the source for product titles and descriptions on TikTok Shop. You can pull content from your store or customize it for the TikTok audience.
Once your Policies are configured, click Next.
Select products #
Choose the items from your store that you want to list on TikTok Shop. Use filters to find and select all items matching a specific price range, quantity, category, or other parameters.
If you are listing a large number of products, use the Batch tool to collect items across multiple searches and pages.
Once your selection is ready, click Next.
ℹ️ Some products are restricted on TikTok Shop or require additional approval. Review TikTok's restricted products policy before proceeding.
Assign a TikTok Shop category #
TikTok Shop requires every product to be assigned to a specific category. You have three options to assign a category:
- Auto-Assign Recommended Category – Click Get recommended categories, and TikTok will suggest a category based on your product details. Review the suggestion in the purple category box and either confirm it or change it manually.
- Map Store categories to TikTok categories – Use your existing store categories to assign TikTok categories automatically. Set up the mappings once and reuse them across listings. For more details, check out the guide.
- All Products same Category – Manually select a single TikTok Shop category for the entire batch. This works well when all the selected products share the same store category.
ℹ️ Some TikTok Shop categories require approval before you can list under them. If so, M2E will display a notification with the next steps. See the guide on requesting permission for restricted categories.
Define product attributes #
TikTok Shop uses category attributes to organize and display your products to buyers. Depending on the category, you need to fill in two types of attributes.
Required attributes must be completed to publish your listing. Recommended attributes aren’t mandatory, but they improve how your products appear in search and filters.
For each attribute, choose where the value comes from:
- TikTok's predefined options – Select a value from TikTok's built-in list for that attribute.
- Store or Catalog data – Pull the value from the attributes/metafields in your connected store or catalog. This is the recommended option if your products already include the needed details.
- Custom value – Enter a value manually if it isn't available from TikTok's options or your store data.
✅ If your store doesn't have all the required product data, you can create custom attributes in M2E Catalog. They store TikTok Shop-related data for your products and don't affect any information in your e-commerce platform. This is a more flexible option for large catalogs than entering custom values per listing.
Saving attribute mappings:
When you select a value source for a new category, the app detects the mapping between your store and TikTok Shop attributes. Save the mapping when prompted, and you won't have to configure the same attributes again for future listings.
Publish listings #
After finalizing all settings, click one of the options at the bottom of the page:
- List Now – Submit your products to TikTok Shop for review. Once approved, they will appear in your TikTok Shop storefront.
- Save as Draft – Save your listings in M2E without submitting them to TikTok Shop. Drafted listings won't appear on TikTok until you manually publish them.
Verify listing data #
The M2E Listing Validator Assistant reviews your listings automatically before submission. If some product information is missing or doesn't meet TikTok's requirements, you will see a list of issues along with guidance on how to fix them.
Resolve the issues by following the suggested fixes, then click List Now. You can also save the listings as Incomplete to return to them later.
Steps to revisit Incomplete listings:
- Go to the TikTok Shop Listings page.
- Filter items by the Incomplete status.
- Make the necessary updates, then select the edited products.
- Click Manage Items > List from the mass actions menu to resubmit the items to TikTok Shop.
Manage listings #
Once your TikTok Shop products are live, you can update their settings at any time from the Listings page. For easier management, you can create filter presets or organize products by groups.
Steps to edit a single product:
- Click on the product card to open it.
- Make your changes – update pricing, quantities, category, or policies.
- Save your edits. M2E syncs the updates with TikTok Shop automatically.
Steps to edit multiple products in bulk:
- Select products by checking the boxes next to them.
- In the mass actions menu, choose the action you want to apply, such as Change Policy or Change Category.
- Save your changes. M2E applies the updates to all selected products and syncs them with TikTok Shop.
Configure order settings #
Before your first TikTok Shop orders arrive, set up your order preferences under Settings > Orders.
Order management #
Control how TikTok Shop orders are created in your store:
Create TikTok orders in Store – Automatically creates corresponding orders in your store for incoming TikTok Shop orders. Set a Start Date to choose when automatic order creation begins.
ℹ️ Make sure to enable the order creation to maintain accurate inventory and prevent overselling.
Inventory reservation #
Reserve quantity in Store for pending TikTok orders – Holds inventory for TikTok Shop orders awaiting payment to prevent overselling until the order is confirmed.
Store order ID #
Manage how TikTok Shop order IDs are assigned and displayed in your store:
Use TikTok Order ID instead of Store Order ID – Replaces your store's default order ID with the TikTok Shop order ID.
Use marketplace code as a prefix for Store Order ID – Adds a marketplace identifier to distinguish TikTok orders from other channels.
You can enter a custom prefix or suffix to make TikTok orders easier to identify. For example, adding tiktok- as a prefix means all TikTok orders in your store will start with tiktok-.
Customer management #
TikTok Shop doesn’t allow sellers to contact buyers outside the platform, and violations may result in account suspension. To stay compliant, enable one of the following options:
Create TikTok orders using masked customer email format – Replaces the buyer's email with a masked format (e.g., _name@email.com instead of name@email.com), so the original address isn't visible in your store orders.
Create TikTok orders using a single customer email – Associates all TikTok Shop orders with one customer email that you specify, so original buyer emails don’t appear in your store.
Fulfill orders #
When you fulfill an order, M2E automatically syncs the order status and tracking number between your store and TikTok Shop.
Steps to ship a TikTok Shop order:
- Go to the TikTok Shop Orders page.
- Click on the order to open its details, and click Ship Order.
- Choose one of the fulfillment options:
- Add tracking number – Fulfill the order yourself and enter the tracking information.
- Use TikTok Buy Shipping – Purchase shipping labels directly through TikTok Shop. Refer to the guide for detailed instructions on using this feature.
The alternative option is Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT), a service where TikTok Shop takes care of storage, packing, and delivery for your orders.
