We have added a new feature to M2E Multichannel Connect called the Listing Validator Assistant for Walmart. It checks your items before you publish them. That means complete data, clean compliance, and fewer listing errors from the start.
The Assistant reviews key fields and flags those that need work. Fix the issues once, then list with confidence. Your products reach Walmart buyers faster and with fewer back-and-forth exchanges.
What the Listing Validator Assistant does #
Checks product readiness
You will see which Store or Catalog items are ready for Walmart and which ones are not. The status is clear, so you know where to focus.
Gives practical recommendations
For each issue, the Assistant explains the cause and lists simple steps to fix it. You see exactly what to change to meet Walmart rules, including identifiers, category attributes, images, and compliance fields.
Lets you pick how to fix mistakes
Update data in the Store or Catalog if that is easier. Or use M2E tools such as filters or product groups to fill missing or invalid fields. When Walmart requires specific compliance data, you can add it on the spot.
Where can you find it? #
You meet the Listing Validator Assistant during the Walmart listing flow. It shows up at the end of the flow, after you press List Now. M2E reviews your products to ensure every required detail is complete and accurate. If something is missing or wrong, the Assistant opens and presents a concise overview of the problems.

ℹ️ When all or some items pass, the Assistant stays hidden. Those products are listed, and their progress is visible on the Listings page.
Walmart Listing Validator Assistant: get launches right the first time #
Prepare your products with the Assistant #
Inside the Assistant, results are organized by issue type. You see how many items are invalid and why the issue matters under Walmart rules.
For example, if you try to list items with a missing or incorrect barcode, you will get a grouped alert titled ‘Barcode is invalid.’ The Assistant also explains that every product on Walmart must have a valid barcode.
View tips and apply a fix #
Next Steps sits beside each issue. Click it to see plain instructions and suggested solutions.

The Assistant handles the fix within M2E Multichannel Connect, or specifies what to update in your Store or Catalog.

If your items are missing a Barcode, the Assistant launches the M2E Category Policy with the Barcode field in focus. From there, choose how to resolve it:
- If your Store or Catalog already stores barcode data in an attribute or metafield, set that field as the source.
- If no barcode data is available, enter it manually.
- Apply GTIN exemption (Choose this option if you are approved to list products without Barcodes in the selected category).

After you confirm, M2E applies and saves the changes.
Depending on the issue, you may see other Next Steps:
- Adjust a Selling Policy.
- Add the missing value directly to the product.
- Update multiple products at once using export and import.
- Map-related attributes such as Brand, Manufacturer, or required regulatory details.
- Edit the Category Policy if the selected category or its attributes are incorrect.
Sometimes the fix must happen in your Store or Catalog. You might need to add a description or change an invalid value. The Assistant will call this out and tell you exactly what to change.

Recheck and list #
You may see multiple errors. Fix them all before listing on Walmart. After the fixes, click List Now to validate again. The Assistant rechecks your products and refreshes the results.

Passing items proceed to Walmart review right away. If everything checks out, you land on the Listings page. Anything still invalid stays in the Assistant until you resolve it.
Save unfinished work #
Not ready to fix everything now? Click Save as Incomplete to close the Assistant. Your work is saved. Products with issues will show on the Listings page with the Incomplete status.

When ready, head to Listings, use the Incomplete filter, and choose the products to continue.

Choose Manage Items, then List to reopen the Assistant. Finish the remaining fixes and publish once the items are ready.

The Walmart Listing Validator Assistant stops bad data before it reaches the marketplace. You get clear explanations, guided steps, and full control over each fix. Valid items move forward at once. Items that still need work stay visible until you provide what Walmart requires.
You make fewer mistakes. You publish faster on Walmart. You win back time to grow your business.
