This doc provides step-by-step instructions for connecting the Boulanger Marketplace in M2E Cloud, setting it up, and managing the marketplace.
ℹ️ Boulanger is a Mirakl-based marketplace. The general Mirakl setup rules described in this guide can also apply to other Mirakl marketplaces connected through M2E Cloud.
What happens outside M2E Cloud #
Boulanger is a marketplace where businesses can sell technology and other products. However, it doesn’t allow direct product sales. Only businesses that sell their goods through Mirakl, the company's main partner, can list products on boulanger.com.

You can take into account the following aspects regarding the market before starting your M2E Cloud installation:
- Sales market: France
- Product language: French
- Currency: EUR
- Marketplace system: Mirakl
- Fulfillment: seller-managed
As you can see, running your store involves more than listing products. You’re also responsible for stock management, order fulfillment, returns, and customer support.
Who Boulanger is a good fit for #
Boulanger focuses on categories such as:
- Household appliances
- Electronics
- Multimedia
- Computers and accessories
- Telecommunication
- Gaming
- Cameras
- Cooking products
- DIY and gardening
- Office supplies
- Refurbished products
Larger sellers should have their catalog and fulfillment processes in order before joining Boulanger. The marketplace has its own category and attribute requirements. Also, keep in mind that all the product content must be available in French.
And since you’re working with French-speaking customers, be ready to provide all the info about orders, returns, and more in French.
This makes Boulanger a better fit for established mid-sized and enterprise businesses that want to reach more customers in France without starting their marketplace operations from scratch.
Request a Boulanger seller account #
A Boulanger seller account is required before you can start the integration in M2E Cloud.
To get started, submit an application through Boulanger’s official marketplace page for sellers. Boulanger evaluates applications before approving new merchants.

Key requirements include:
- EU-based business operations
- Shipping from within the EU
- French customer service
- Suitable product categories
- Required company and VAT information
- Reliable fulfillment and delivery processes
Prepare to share key business information when applying to sell on Boulanger. The marketplace may ask for your company details, legal representative’s information, customer service contacts, catalog size, product categories, and integration method.
Approval is only one part of the process. You’ll also need to maintain the operational performance Boulanger expects from its sellers, including these targets:
- Customer satisfaction above 4 stars
- Refund rate below 5%
- Customer responses within 24 hours
- Reliable delivery performance
If you plan to sell at scale, you’ll need to meet these requirements across your product range and order volume.
After approval, Boulanger provides access to the Mirakl seller back-end. Keep these credentials available, as you will need the Mirakl account when setting up Boulanger in M2E Cloud.
Marketplace fees and commissions to consider #
Boulanger currently applies:
- Setup fee: none
- Subscription: EUR 40 excl. VAT per month
- Commission: depends on the product category
- Payment schedule: 1st, 11th, and 21st of the month
The EUR 40 subscription is billed only when your account generates sales during the month.
There is no marketplace fulfillment service. Your business remains responsible for shipping orders, managing returns, maintaining stock, and meeting Boulanger’s customer service standards.

Requirements before you start #
What you need before connecting:
- an active Boulanger seller account;
- products that meet Boulanger’s listing requirements;
- a store on a platform supported by M2E Cloud.
ℹ️ M2E Cloud works with supported platforms, including Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and PrestaShop. Install the matching M2E app from your platform’s official app store to get started.
You will need:
- An approved Boulanger seller account
- Access to your Mirakl Seller Admin
- A valid Mirakl API key
- Valid EAN/GTIN codes for your products
- Product information in French
- Prices in EUR
- VAT information and environmental compliance details, where needed
You’ll also need to provide product attributes required by Boulanger, such as brand, reference, and category. These fields can be mapped in M2E Cloud later.
💡 If your store uses a different currency, you can set up currency conversion in M2E Cloud.
Connect Boulanger to M2E Cloud #
Boulanger uses Mirakl to manage its marketplace. To connect it to M2E Cloud, you’ll need your Mirakl API credentials.
To connect your account:
- In M2E Cloud, open Connect Mirakl Account.
- In Select marketplace, search for and choose Boulanger.
- Log in to your Mirakl Seller Admin and copy or generate your API key.
- Return to M2E Cloud and paste the key into the API key field.
- Enter your Shop ID if you manage multiple shops.
- Click Connect.
M2E Cloud checks your credentials and establishes the connection. You can then start setting up your listings and synchronization rules.

✅ For more details, see How to connect Mirakl marketplaces to M2E Cloud.
Common connection issues #
If M2E Cloud cannot connect to your Boulanger account, check whether:
- Your API key is correct and still valid
- Your Mirakl account has the required API permissions
- Your seller account has been fully approved
- You have entered the correct Shop ID, if applicable
ℹ️ If you regenerate your API key in Mirakl, update it in M2E Cloud as well. Otherwise, synchronization may stop.
Once connected: What happens next? #
Once the connection is active, you can select products for Boulanger, set rules for updating product data, and configure order synchronization with your store.
Here’s what to do next.
1. List products on Boulanger #
M2E Cloud lets you select products directly from your store catalog and make them available on Boulanger.
You can:
- Create new marketplace listings using your store's product data
- Add offers to products that already exist in Boulanger's catalog
- Choose which products you want to sell on Boulanger
- Manage your Boulanger listings using your existing catalog
2. Link existing Boulanger listings to your store #
Already selling on Boulanger? You can bring your existing listings under M2E Cloud management without creating them again.
M2E Cloud can automatically match your marketplace listings with store products by SKU. You can also link products manually using a CSV file.
Once linked, you can:
- Keep Boulanger stock levels aligned with your store inventory
- Update marketplace prices based on your store data
- Manage existing and newly added products from the same workspace
This is especially useful when moving an established Boulanger catalog to M2E Cloud.
3. Map categories and required attributes #
M2E Cloud lets you adapt your existing product data to Boulanger's catalog requirements.
You can assign marketplace categories and map store attributes to the fields Boulanger expects.
Boulanger generates listing titles using the product type, brand, and commercial reference. These values take the place of a separate title field.
With M2E Cloud, you can use your store’s existing attributes to fill them in. You can also map technical specifications and environmental information based on the requirements of each supported category.
For more details on managing product data updates, see the Synchronization Policy guide.
4. Set pricing and inventory rules #
M2E Cloud lets you control how prices and available quantities are calculated for Boulanger.
With Selling Policies, you can:
- Choose which store price to use for Boulanger
- Increase or decrease prices using custom rules
- Set quantity limits for marketplace offers
- Apply discounts and currency conversion
- Create separate policies for different product groups
Set different pricing rules for each category and product line. For example, small electronic products can have one markup, while large built-in appliances can have another.
You can also keep Boulanger inventory lower than your actual store stock to reserve units for other sales channels.
Boulanger requires additional offer information, such as warranty duration in months. Certain categories may also need environmental contribution details.
5. Manage Boulanger orders from your store #
M2E Cloud brings Boulanger orders into your existing order management workflow, so you don't need to process every sale separately in Mirakl.
In the order settings, you can:
- Control how marketplace orders are imported into your store
- Configure order status mapping
- Keep order information synchronized between systems
- Send shipment confirmations and tracking updates to Boulanger
This lets your team handle Boulanger orders alongside orders from other marketplaces and keep order statuses in sync.
6. Set up shipping and delivery updates #
Boulanger uses seller-managed fulfillment, so you’re responsible for shipping orders. M2E Cloud syncs shipping details between your store and Boulanger.
You can:
- Configure shipping-related settings
- Synchronize shipment confirmations
- Pass carrier and tracking information to the marketplace
- Keep Boulanger order statuses current as you process and ship orders
The marketplace uses logistics classes determined by package dimensions and weight. Make sure your offers are assigned correctly if you ship products of varying sizes and weights.
7. Monitor listings and resolve issues #
M2E Cloud gives you a single place to check how your Boulanger listings are performing at the synchronization level.
From the Listings page, you can:
- Check product listing and synchronization statuses
- Identify products with missing attributes or invalid identifiers
- Find pricing and inventory update errors
- Review available marketplace feedback
- Correct product data and submit updates again
Product rejections can point to specific data problems. If Boulanger reports a missing EAN or an invalid attribute, correct the information in your catalog and address the error.
Boulanger may also check new product content before publication. That means a successful export doesn’t necessarily mean customers can see the listing yet.
💡 Learn about the other features in the guide to M2E Multichannel Connect.
What happens in the marketplace back-end? #
Boulanger checks the product and offer data it receives through Mirakl. Your listings must meet its requirements before they can go live.

Product data requirements #

Required fields
- Marque: Brand accepted by Boulanger
- Référence commerciale: Unique reference, maximum 40 characters
- Référence universelle: EAN
- Type: Product type
Boulanger uses the values we’ve just listed to identify products and create their titles.
Note that there is no dedicated title field. Boulanger builds the title from the product type, brand, and commercial reference.
Additional content #
- Short description: Up to 95 characters
- Long description: Up to 5,000 characters, with HTML allowed
- Main image: White background, JPEG or PDF, 1,000-4,000 px per side
- Category attributes: Color, usage, and technical details
Keep all product content in French. Some product categories have extra environmental data requirements. Check these before exporting your catalog.
Pricing and offer settings #
Boulanger requires a selling price in EUR and a warranty period in months.
You can also provide:
- Discount prices and dates
- Product condition
- Lead time to shipment
- Low-stock alert thresholds
- Product tax codes
Certain offers might need ECO contribution amount, EPR category codes, or producer ID. Verify that each piece of information is correct for each product and its respective category.
Shipping requirements #
Boulanger doesn’t manage fulfillment for sellers. Boulanger expects sellers to handle their own fulfillment.
Shipping charges depend on the logistics class assigned to each product. The marketplace uses classes from XXS to XXXXXL.
For example:
- XS: 0-0.25 kg
- M: 0.5-0.75 kg
- L: 0.75-2 kg
- XL: 2-5 kg
- XXL: 5-15 kg
- XXXL: Over 15 kg
The setup assigns XL by default. Review your current Boulanger shipping settings, especially if you sell both small accessories and large appliances.
Carrier mapping isn't mandatory, but using a carrier from Boulanger's list helps provide working tracking links.
