When selling on Temu in the US and Europe, you may be required to provide Brand information for certain categories. Accurate brand data helps Temu verify product authenticity, confirm that you are an authorized brand owner or reseller, and apply brand protection to your listings.
This guide provides an overview of how brand management and protection work on Temu and how M2E supports brand listings.
Understanding brand protection on Temu #
One of the most common questions from new Temu sellers is how to ensure brand protection. Temu provides brand protection tools, but they are available only to sellers with registered trademarks.
Since M2E supports brands that have an approved trademark, the first step is to register your trademark on Temu. You can do it in your Temu Seller Central under Products > Brands & Intellectual Property > Register Trademark.

Once your trademark is registered and approved, Temu will enable brand protection for your account.
Registering and protecting your brand on Temu not only keeps your account compliant but also strengthens buyer confidence in your products. It helps you stand out as a trusted seller.

How M2E helps with successful brand listings #
When creating new Temu listings in M2E Multichannel Connect, some categories require you to specify a Brand value for your products.
ℹ️ Before assigning brands in M2E, you must first request brand approval from Temu for each brand you plan to sell. M2E will submit only approved brands to Temu when publishing a listing.
If a brand is not approved, M2E will automatically omit it from synchronization.
You can define the Brand value within your Temu category attribute settings in one of two ways:
- Select a Brand value from the list of brands approved for your Temu seller account.

- Choose an attribute or metafield from your Store or Catalog that contains brand information.

⚠️ Make sure the selected attribute or metafield contains the exact name of an approved brand with a registered trademark under your Temu account. Otherwise, the brand value will not be accepted.
If the brand is approved, M2E automatically includes it when submitting your product data to Temu.
✅ If the Brand attribute is not mandatory for your Temu category, you can leave it blank. This will not affect listing submission or synchronization in M2E.
To update brand information for existing Temu listings, use the Category Synchronization option in M2E. This is useful if you have Temu listings without a brand specified and want to add approved brand values in bulk through synchronization. To do this:
- Define the Brand in your Temu category attribute settings.
- Open the M2E Synchronization Policy assigned to your Temu listings.
- Enable the option to Revise Category Data.

Category synchronization ensures that updates made to category attributes, including Brand, are correctly reflected on Temu.
