How to Create a Shop on TikTok #

Follow these seven easy steps to create your store at TikTok Shop as a seller from the USA. 

Step 1: Create Your TikTok Shop Account #

Start by visiting the TikTok Shop to create an Account.

You can register in two ways:

• With your TikTok account (via QR code or username/email).
• With your email or phone number (you’ll receive a verification code).

⚠️ Make sure your region is set to the United States.

Step 2: Choose Your Business Type #

Select from:

• Individual seller (e.g., freelancers or casual sellers).
• Sole proprietorship (unregistered small business under your name).
• Corporation or Partnership.

The requirements and documents depend on this choice. 

All sellers must:

• Be 18+.
• Reside in the US.
• Provide a valid US Passport, Driver's License, or State ID.

Step 3: Complete Business Verification #

Provide the following:

• Legal name, birthdate, and address.
• Last 4 digits of SSN or ITIN.
• ID document (passport, driver’s license, or state ID).
• Proof of address (utility bill, insurance, or bank statement).

Step 4: Submit Tax Information #

US-based sellers need to submit a W-9 form.
