Ready to start selling on TikTok Shop in Germany? This guide walks you through every step - from account setup and business verification to uploading your first product and going live with shoppable content.

Step 1: Register on TikTok Shop #

Sign up using your email, phone number, or link an existing TikTok account. 

Sellers from Germany should start here: https://seller-de.tiktok.com/

Verify your account with the one-time code sent to your email or phone. If you're using a TikTok profile, choose “Use QR Code” and follow the steps.

Each email or phone number can only be linked to one TikTok Shop account.

Step 2: Choose Your Business Type #

Select the legal structure of your business to continue:

• Sole trader;

Step 3: Provide Correct Information for Primary Representative #

For Legal Entities #

• Ensure your company address matches the country where you're applying.
• Provide company registration number.

Representative details required:

• Full name;
• Role (Owner, Managing Director, or Authorized User with full authorization);
• Indicate if you're an Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO);

Identity verification:

• Acceptable documents: Passport, ID card, or unlimited residence permit (Driver’s license allowed for France, Italy, Germany).;
• Upload a selfie video with your documents;
• Scan both sides of the ID document;

Address verification:

• Proof of address as per country-specific rules;
• The complaints address will be publicly visible. You may use your business address or another suitable address;

• Utility bill or bank statement.

For Sole Proprietors #

• Identity proof (passport, ID card, unlimited residence permit; Driver’s license permitted in France, Italy, Germany);
• Upload a selfie video with your documents;
• Scan both sides of the ID document;
• Provide proof of address (recent bank statement or utility bill);

• Address proof must be no older than 3 months;
• The provided address must match your business registration country.

Step 4: Enter Your Business Info #

Provide your registered business name and registration number. You can use your home address or another location.

Add a complaint address - this will be publicly visible to customers.

As German seller, you can use one of the following:

• Utility bill (water, electricity, gas, mobile, or internet);
• Bank statement (issued within the last 3 months);

The document must clearly show your full name and address.

Step 5: Launch Your TikTok Shop #

• Pick a memorable shop name your customers will recognize;
• Upload your logo to build a strong brand identity;
• Confirm your contact info for important shop updates;
• Acting for a company? Add official business details to verify your role;
• Double-check everything, then submit your application - reviews typically take 2-3 days.

Step 6: Submit Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) Details #

Some sellers may need to declare their Ultimate Beneficial Owner. If required, be ready to provide the UBO’s full name, date of birth, nationality, and ownership details.

Step 7: Add Shop Configuration #

Set up shipping and returns by entering your pickup and return addresses.

Step 8: Upload Final Details #

• Provide customer service contact info: email and phone number;
• Enter your bank details, matching your registered business name (IBAN, BIC, country, email, and bank statement if needed);
• List your first product to start selling.
