Manage inventory across Store and Channels

2 min read

M2E Multichannel Connect synchronizes your inventory across all connected sales channels, keeping product data consistent and up-to-date.

Inventory management setup requires two steps: linking your marketplace items to store products, then enabling synchronization.

M2E Multichannel Connect needs to know when you are selling the same product across different platforms. This is done by linking your marketplace listings to products in your store.

Automatic linking: When you connect a Channel (eBay, Amazon, Walmart, etc.), M2E Multichannel Connect scans your existing marketplace listings and matches them to store products based on SKU or Product ID. If a match is found, the items are linked automatically without any action required from you.

Manual linking: If the extension can't find a matching SKU or Product ID, the marketplace listing will appear as unlinked. You'll need to manually connect it to the correct product in your store. This usually happens when:

  • SKUs differ between your store and marketplace
  • Products were listed on the marketplace before being added to your store
  • Product IDs don't match across platforms

Enable item synchronization #

Once items are linked, you need to enable synchronization to keep your store and marketplace listings in sync. You can enable sync for individual items or multiple items at once.

When enabling synchronization, you will need to configure M2E Policies that define how your products appear and sync on marketplaces. With the Synchronization Policy, you can select which product data to synchronize between your store and marketplaces, such as price, quantity, product titles, descriptions, images, and more.

Syncing price and quantity is highly recommended for accurate inventory and pricing updates. This way, when you update a product in your store, M2E Multichannel Connect pushes those changes to the marketplace in real-time.
