Follow this guide to set up your seller account, complete verification, and begin selling on TikTok Shop.
⚠️ Information is accurate as of April 6, 2026. It’s always a good idea to check TikTok Shop UK policies for updates.
Step 1. Create your TikTok Shop account #
Go to the TikTok Shop UK Seller Center and start the registration process. Make sure you are using the UK version of the website.
You can sign up in three ways:
- Use your TikTok account (via QR code)
- Use your email address
- Use your phone number
You will need to verify your email or phone number during sign-up.
Note: The same email or phone number can only be used once for TikTok Shop registration.
Step 2. Provide your business details #
To start selling on TikTok Shop, you need to provide information about your company.
Here is the list of the required documents for corporate sellers.
Prepare the following:
- A UK or EU phone number
- Business owner’s ID or PAU ID (passport or driving license)
- Proof of residential address for the director or PAU
- A UK or EU bank account
- A full first page of the business bank statement
- A UK-registered company
Provide company details:
- Company name
- Company number
- Registration date
Additional requirements:
- A UK warehouse or stock location
- Business address proof (submitted after onboarding)
If someone registers on behalf of the company, you must provide a Letter of Authorization (LOA). This is completed through DocuSign in Seller Center.
💡 What is a PAU? A Primary Authorized User (PAU) is an employee authorized by the company director to register and manage the TikTok Shop account. The PAU must live in the UK and provide proof of a UK address.
Step 3. Submit verification documents #
Upload all required documents during registration.

Make sure that:
- Documents are clear, complete, and in color
- All names match across ID, bank account, and business details
- Bank statements match the applicant
- Address proof shows a UK address and is dated within the last 6 months
You will also need to enter:
- Business details
- Bank account information
- Shop name
⚠️ Double-check all details before submission. TikTok doesn’t allow changes to company or personal information after submission.
Step 4. Complete the identity check #
TikTok uses a verification system to confirm your identity.
You may be asked to:
- Scan your passport or driving license
- Take a selfie or complete a live check
You can complete this step:
- On mobile
- With a webcam
- By switching from desktop to mobile
Once completed, your status will be set to Verified.
If you are registering as a company and using a PAU, the business owner must approve the registration through DocuSign. You can send them an email to authorize the registration. Just enter their name and email address.
Step 5. Wait for approval #
After submitting your application, TikTok reviews your account details and documents.
- The review process typically takes 2-6 days
- You’ll receive an email notification once a decision is made
- You can also track your application status in the Seller Center
Step 6. Set up your store #
Once your account is approved, you can move on to store setup and start preparing to sell.
Start with the basics:
- Add your shop name and store details
- Upload your first products
- Complete the setup checklist in Seller Center
Mind to stay compliant #
