With M2E Multichannel Connect, you can apply and manage eBay Discounts (formerly known as Promotions) directly from the app. Use discounts to:
- Attract more buyers
- Clear old or excess inventory
- Increase average order value
- Encourage repeat purchases
- Lower shipping costs by bundling items
Follow this guide to set up and apply discounts to your eBay listings in bulk using M2E Multichannel Connect.
Types of eBay Discounts you can use #
You can apply the following discount types to your eBay listings through M2E:
- Order size discounts – Encourage buyers to spend more in your store by offering a discount when they reach a minimum order amount. Great for increasing cart size and promoting cross-selling.
- Volume discounts – Offer savings when buyers purchase multiple units of the same item. Ideal for boosting the quantity per sale and appealing to bulk buyers.
- Shipping discounts – Provide reduced or free shipping options to make your listings more competitive. Increase order value through bundled shipping.
- Sale events (previously known as Markdown Manager promotions) – Apply percentage or fixed-price discounts to specific items. Helps move seasonal or excess inventory and highlight key listings.
ℹ️ Discounts are only available to eBay Store subscribers.
View items with active eBay Discounts #
If you’ve already created discounts and applied them to your listings on eBay, here’s how to view them in M2E Multichannel Connect:
1) Navigate to Settings > Sales Channels.
2) Find your connected eBay account and click the three-dot menu.
3) Select Retrieve account details to sync your current discounts.
✅ Use the Retrieve account details button whenever something changes in your eBay account, such as newly created discounts, shipping rate tables, or custom store categories. It helps keep your M2E account up to date with eBay.
4) Navigate to the Listings page and select your eBay account. Click on filters in the top-right corner.
5) Click Add Filter+, then use the Discount filter to search for listings with specific discounts applied.
You can also view discount details on the product card. Click on a product from the Listings page and switch to the Discounts tab to see which discount is currently applied:
Add or Remove eBay Discounts #
You can apply or remove existing eBay discounts in bulk using M2E Multichannel Connect. Here's how:
1) Go to the Listings page and select your eBay account.
2) Select the items you want to update. Only fixed-price listings are eligible for discounts.
3) Click the three-dot menu at the top and select Add/Remove Discount.
4) You’ll see a list of available eBay discounts that were previously created. Select a discount to add, or remove the currently applied one. Remember that one discount can be applied per item.
If you don’t see all your discounts, click the refresh button to update the list of your eBay discounts:
Create a new eBay Discount #
To create a new discount and apply it to your eBay products in M2E Multichannel Connect:
1) Go to the Listings page and select your eBay account.
2) Select the products you want to create a discount for.
3) Click the three-dot menu at the top and select Add Discount.
4) Click Create discount to open the eBay Discounts Manager. You'll be directed to eBay to complete the discount setup.
5) After setting up the discount on eBay, return to the app. Then, click the refresh button to update your list of eBay discounts.
6) Once your new discount appears in the list, select it and click Add to apply it to the selected items.
