With M2E Multichannel Connect, you can manage the entire OTTO fulfillment process from your e-commerce platform. The app lets you process OTTO orders in your store, choose how you want to ship them, and keep tracking information synchronized with OTTO.
This guide explains how OTTO fulfillment works in M2E and what tracking information is required for successful shipment.
Order fulfillment workflow #
When a customer places an order on OTTO Market, M2E Multichannel Connect detects it and automatically imports the order into your store admin. From there, you can manage and fulfill OTTO orders the same way you process other store orders.
The app keeps order and tracking details synchronized between OTTO and your store throughout the fulfillment process.
Standard fulfillment #
If you handle shipping yourself, you can process OTTO orders from your store admin. Once you add shipping and tracking details to the order, M2E automatically sends this information to OTTO.
For an order to be marked as Shipped on OTTO, you must provide two tracking numbers:
- Delivery tracking number + delivery carrier (used for shipping the package to the customer)
- Return tracking number + return carrier (used if the customer needs to return the item)
OTTO will not confirm shipment unless both tracking numbers are submitted.
If your store or third-party fulfillment system cannot provide both tracking numbers, you can add them manually in the M2E app.
Even if the delivery tracking data has already been submitted elsewhere, you can update it in M2E and add the required return tracking details.
How to add OTTO tracking details #
You can submit the required delivery and return tracking details for OTTO orders in one of the following ways.
Option 1. Provide tracking numbers via your store #
To fulfill the OTTO order through your store, for instance, Shopify:
1) Open the imported OTTO order in your Shopify admin.
2) Click Mark as fulfilled or Edit tracking, depending on the order status. Enter the delivery carrier and delivery tracking number.

3) Click Add another tracking number. Enter the return tracking number and select the return carrier.

4) Complete the fulfillment or save the tracking update.
Once both tracking numbers are added, M2E will forward this information to OTTO.
ℹ️ If you use a third-party fulfillment tool connected to your store, make sure it is configured to send two or more tracking numbers. In this case, M2E will submit the last tracking number as the return tracking number.
Option 2. Provide tracking numbers via M2E #
To fulfill the OTTO order through M2E Multichannel Connect:
1) Go to the Orders page in the app.
2) Open the OTTO order card.
3) Click Ship Order if you are submitting tracking details for the first time, or Update Tracking if you need to add or modify existing tracking information.

4) Specify the required shipping and tracking details:
- Delivery carrier and delivery tracking number
- Return carrier and return tracking number
5) Click Ship or Update to confirm fulfillment.

M2E will sync delivery and return tracking details both with your store and OTTO, so the order can be marked as Shipped on the marketplace.
