SLAs and Timeline Terms (RTS, TTS) #
TikTok Shop defines required steps and deadlines for each shipping type. Deadlines are calculated from the date the seller receives the order.
Ship by Seller (Local to local) #

Lost or Delayed Shipments #
A package is considered “lost” if:
No carrier scan is recorded within 10 calendar days or 7 business days.
If a package is lost, damaged, or delayed:
- TikTok Shop may cancel the order
- The buyer may be refunded
Ship by Seller Across the EU #
RTS: ≤ 2 working days (confirm, pack, create + attach label);
TTS: ≤ Handover: ≤ 3 working days (auto-cancel if not handed over within 7 working days);
Delivery: Deliver-by SLA (destination-based)
- FR -> DE: 5 business days
- FR -> IT, ES: 6 business days
- FR -> IE: 7 business days
Ship by TikTok Shop #
RTS: ≤ 2 working days (confirm, pack, create + attach label);
TTS: ≤ 3-5 working days (auto-cancel on Day 7 if not handed over; affects Late Dispatch Rate);
Delivery: By the carrier’s estimated delivery date.
Tracking and Performance Metrics (LDR, OTDR, VTR, SFCR) #
- Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) is measured over 7 calendar days and applies when packages take more than 2 working days. Must be 4% or lower.
- On Time Delivery Rate (OTDR) is the percentage of EU packages (over 7 calendar days) delivered within the defined SLA. Applies to Ship by Seller only; a healthy OTDR is 70% or higher.
- Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) is the percentage of packages Shipped by Seller that use a tracked shipping method by approved couriers. Applies to Ship by Seller only and must be 95% or higher
- Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate (SFCR): must be 2.5% or lower (e.g., out-of-stock or incorrect pricing cancellations).
Labels, Data, and Packing Essentials #
Confirming orders #
- Review inventory as soon as you receive an order.
- If you cannot fulfill an order, please cancel it by following the TikTok Shop EU Customer Order Cancellation, Return, and Refund Policy.
- Maintain accurate stock levels to prevent cancellations and protect Shop Health.
Packaging orders #
- Use the correct package size and type.
- Ship only products permitted by the carrier.
- Follow the logistics provider’s instructions for special handling (for example: liquids, sharp items, fragile items, perishables, textiles, hazardous materials).
- Notify the carrier before shipping if special handling is required.
Labelling orders #
All packages must have a shipping label securely affixed, including:
- Customer name and full postal address (including zip/postal code)
- Customer order number
- Seller full name and address
Unauthorized information on labels
- Hyperlinks
- QR codes
- Contact information from other platforms
- Information irrelevant to the order
Hazardous & Prohibited Goods #
- Sellers must comply with local laws and regulations.
- Sellers must comply with carrier requirements on hazardous goods and products with shipping restrictions.
- Sellers should only ship products that are permitted by the carrier.
Hand-off & Monitoring #
- Use TikTok Shop approved integrated carriers only.
- Upload a unique, valid Tracking ID for each parcel in Seller Center. Failure can impact VTR.
- Parcels not scanned in time by the LSP can lead to high LDR.
- After the carrier collects the package, check if the status updates to “Shipped.”
Prohibited Shipping Behaviours #
- Shipping empty packages
- Shipping incomplete order units
- Shipping products not matching product detail page or order details
- Forging shipping label information (warehouse addresses, routes, receiver info, delivery addresses)
- Tracking misrepresentation:
- invalid tracking numbers
- duplicated tracking numbers
- no logistics info after tracking ID has been provided for 24 hours
- Inconsistency between the customer's delivery address and the logistics route
- Inconsistency between order and shipping data
- Other inaccurate or wrong shipping information
- Underpaid postage (postage paid for a lower weight than the package sent)
